What makes it special?

The locality was documentary attested in 1291, but the mineral water springs were used much earlier, since Roman and Dacian times when it was known as Germisara. The systematic use of the thermal springs began in the first part of the 20th century, when the spa establishments were built. With its rich history and heritage, the springs are now one of the most important assets to the region as the locals believe they were blessed by Bendis, the Dacian goddess to keep their bodies and souls always young.What makes it sustainable? The immaculate white of their clothing with discreet golden glimmer and decorated by fine black embroideries, gives them a bright, optimistic look. They gather to dance on different occasions and the traditional dances alternate smooth swings with stunning rotations, imitating the slow course and dangerous whirlpools of the Mure? River.
